My practice is open to clients from all walks of life, regardless of background, age, or location. I offer services through secure video calls, making therapy accessible no matter where you are. While I welcome clients worldwide, I do need to verify certain requirements before working with international clients, especially if psychotherapy is regulated in your country. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to chat about this!

Ultimately, the decision to start therapy is personal and should align with the support you currently need. Scheduling an initial consultation can be beneficial to discuss your reasons for seeking counseling, your goals, and to see if therapy feels like the right step for you at this moment in your life.

Therapy sessions are structured to provide you with a safe space to explore and express your thoughts and feelings. If you're curious about how I typically structure a therapy session, I invite you to read more here.

The frequency of therapy sessions varies based on your individual needs. Typically, my clients start by meeting with me once a week or once every two weeks to build momentum towards their goals. As progress is made, we adjust the frequency of sessions based on their evolving needs and preferences. It's a collaborative decision between us to determine what feels most supportive and beneficial for you. I'm open to listening to how you feel about our session frequency and to discuss any adjustments as needed.

Start by creating a private, quiet, and comfortable space where you can express yourself freely without interruptions. Ensure your technology and connection is optimal by closing unnecessary apps and browser tabs. If we face connection issues, we can easily switch to a phone call for our session.

I acknowledge that our time together is short. To support you between sessions, I often suggest practices and/or resources tailored to our work together. These suggested practices are always invitations, meaning you are free to choose not to do them.
Additionally, once we’ve established our therapeutic relationship, I offer check-in sessions. You can read more about this offering here.

Payment for services is due at the end of each session and you will be sent an official receipt. Fees are processed through e-Transfer or credit card securely kept on file.

Insurance providers often cover services provided by Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC) or Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCC). After your session, you'll be sent a receipt that can be submitted for reimbursement. To confirm coverage under your benefits plan, consult with your insurance provider or workplace regarding counselling or psychotherapy provided by RCCs registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) or CCCs registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). This ensures you have accurate information about your reimbursement options.

Life can be unpredictable and unexpected circumstances may arise. Therefore, it is important for me to maintain transparency and for you to understand the cancellation policy before working together.
To avoid being charged the full fee, please reschedule or cancel more than 48 hours in advance.
If a rescheduling or cancellation occurs within the 48-hour window but more than 24 hours before the session, a charge of 50% of the session fee will apply.
If a rescheduling or cancellation occurs within the 24-hour window, the full session fee will apply.
The same rules apply if I need to reschedule or cancel a session. If I reschedule or cancel our session within the 24 to 48-hour window, your session is offered at 50% off. If I reschedule or cancel our session within the 24-hour window, your session is free of charge. This policy ensures fairness and accountability in scheduling.
I’m here with you.
Should you have any curiosities not covered here, please feel free to reach out to me directly.
